Society for Conservation Biology Membership

SCB Membership

The SCB-IEWG operates as a specialty working group within the broader Society for Conservation Biology (SCB). The SCB serves as the global professional society for conservation practitioners, dedicated to facilitating, promoting, and advancing the scientific study and preservation of biological diversity.

Two distinct membership options are available:
1. Full Membership: Designed for professionals working directly in conservation. This includes individuals from the private sector, government agencies, NGOs, non-profits, practitioners, policymakers, academics, and students engaged in specialized conservation research or practice.

2. Associate Membership: Open to individuals working in adjacent fields (such as international development) whose broader career interests may extend beyond conservation. Associate members offer unique and valuable perspectives or skills that support the SCB’s overarching mission.
