On Tuesday, 22nd August, we proudly hosted our symposium titled “Impact Evaluation for Nature Conservation in a Changing World”. The event showcased cutting-edge research and emerging insights into the effectiveness of various conservation interventions, from terrestrial and marine protected areas to biodiversity offsets and community-based species conservation programs. We were thrilled to welcome an outstanding panel of speakers, including Katie Devenish, Julia P. G. Jones, Rachel Neugarten, Jonas Geldmann, Jorge Llopis, Andrea Santangeli, and Caterina Cosmopolis-del-Carpio, each of whom brought unique perspectives and expertise to the discussion.

Social Event at Únětický pivovar (August 23)

Later that evening, we joined forces with the SCB Social Science Working Group to co-host a lively networking social at the charming Únětický Pivovar brewery. The event offered a relaxed setting for meaningful conversations, new connections, and a well-earned toast to a day of inspiring discussions. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the evening such a memorable experience!
